Google Street View Has Langley
In April or May of this year, I started noticing Tweets on Twitter about the Google Street View vehicles roaming the streets of the Lower Mainland. Then early one spring morning I saw one of the vehicles with cameras attached to its roof, confirming the reports I'd been reading.
Today Google has released Google Street View for the the Metro Vancouver area and the Fraser Valley as far as Chilliwack. You can check out Langley by going here. To make it work, keep zooming into the location you want to see and eventually it will become street view. You can pan and tilt your views, you click down the road and you go down the streets. Pretty cool, if you ask me.
Here's an actual view of the Township Civic Facility.

There has been lots of controversy about privacy and this technology. Google now blurs licence plates and faces. Although, I did a search of my old neighbourhood and one of my former neighbours has his derriere sticking out of the rear passenger door of his car. Now, that's posterity.
